Here is a link to the new online Orlock Website test.

As it is just a test page to see how it looks so the links etc are not working at the moment. Let me know what you think and if there is anything missing or could be improved.

World Dog Show 2009

Although I couldn't make it myself to the World Dog Show in Bratislava, I have really enjoyed following people's journey and success through Twitter, Facebook and of course good old phone!  Many congratulations to all who did well.  Roll on Denmark 2010!

Redoing the website

It's about 6 years since I updated the Orlock Website. There is always an excuse isn't there - babies, houses, work, puppies etc etc but I was finally shamed into it as it looks so dated, so a complete redesign is in order.  Of course it cant just be a simple website so at the moment the basic design has to include a widget for Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and this blog all mashed together!! Technology has certainly moved on since 2002!

It does take a while to decide on colour scheme design etc and have been mulling it over since August 2009 - so this time Red and black seems in order as the main colour themes (appropriate for our little vamps!). The current hurdle is mashing all the various services on the site.  I thought you might enjoy the little video of my new affenbabe Raul who was the star of the Youtube test.

Next the templates for the pages will be done. Then I will have to get new shot of all the dogs.  I have bought a new camera (Cannon D450 digital SLR) which is heaps better than my antiquated Fujifilm (well it was good in 2001!).  Once the page design is sorted then we should be able to go live.  Once thing I am sure of it that I am NOT going to have pedigrees onlines as it is just too much work!

I hope that I will be able to keep up the Twittering etc and once Ruairi gets a little older I hope that I will be able to get to shows and events in 2010 to be able to provide more immediate updates.
